The overall decrease in crime reports was led by assault and theft. Assault fell to two incidents last week, from six the week before. Theft went from 16 to 15. Reports of theft have continued to fall for the last two weeks.

There were two reported vandalism incidents last week. That represents a steady state from the previous week.
Among the few types of offenses that saw an uptick last week, reports of burglary went from six to seven.

Looking at crime patterns in different areas of the city, Garden Gate, Rancho Rinconada and South Blaney had the most reported incidents last week. Rancho Rinconada and South Blaney were at the top of the list the previous week as well.
Regarding when crime most often occurs, Fridays, Saturdays and Wednesdays produced the most crime incidents last week. The largest decrease from the previous week occurred on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, while incidents on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays went up. Late afternoon, late morning and early afternoon saw the most crime last week.
