Shake Shack

Shake Shack is a new traditional American spot, offering fast food burgers, ice cream and more.
On the menu, look for burger offerings like the single or double ShackBurger cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato and and house sauce, the SmokeShack burger with applewood smoked bacon and chopped cherry peppers, and a fried portobello mushroom burger, filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses.
There's also a selection of hot dogs, as well as a fried chicken sandwich on hand. And of course, Shake Shack offers several different kinds of shakes and floats, including peanut butter, strawberry, and caramel. (You can check out the full menu here.)
It has a four-star rating out of 19 Yelp reviews so far, indicating positive attention.
Yelper Carla L., who reviewed it on Dec. 24, said, "Excellent service and food! I came here yesterday on the first grand opening. The atmosphere was very casual, professional and friendly."
Rafeal S. noted, "Absolutely love the menu, and the food and the atmosphere was just amazing! Move over Sonic and make room for the new big show in town!"
The new spot is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Jam + Toast

Jam + Toast is a breakfast and brunch spot.
On the large menu, expect to find dishes like Alamo omelette with chorizo sausage, jalapeños, red onion, cilantro, avocado and cheddar cheese; the Irving skillet with chicken apple sausage, roasted red peppers, fresh mushrooms and spinach; and the the French Connection platter with challah french toast, two eggs and choice of bacon or sausage.
It's getting enthusiastic reviews, with a 4.5-star rating out of 49 Yelp reviews.
Yelper Mark T., who reviewed it on Dec. 15, said, "Wife and I were ecstatic to find out a new breakfast place opened by so close to home. We were even more excited that the food tasted delicious! Our waiter was attentive and accommodating. I had the migas, which was great. Wife had the egg Benedict and son had banana Nutella pancakes."
And Jack M. wrote, "Been here twice now for breakfast and lunch. Packed both times, but seated very quickly and the food was ready fast and was very good. Very friendly waitstaff. Will be back to try some other breakfast dishes."
It's open daily from 7 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Wayback Burgers

Wayback Burgers is a spot to score burgers and more. This burger joint has locations throughout the U.S. and internationally, and features signature burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs and shakes.
On the menu, expect to see items like the Wayback Classic with customizable toppings, the Rodeo with onion rings, cheddar and barbecue sauce, a Buffalo chicken sandwich and a build-your-own hot dog. It has a 3.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp thus far, showing that it's getting solid feedback from local diners.
Tasnim A., who reviewed it on Dec. 27, said, "This place is great! The food is freshly made and tastes amazing. Customer service is also so great, so I'm definitely coming back here whenever I'm craving a burger and fries. I also recommend the milkshakes, they taste so good!"
And Brad S. added, "Food is great and reasonably priced—the homemade chips are the star of the show. Has a soda machine with real sugar."

Big Little Market

It's gotten an enthusiastic response, with a five-star rating in its first three reviews on Yelp.
Raji R., who was the first to review it on Oct. 19, wrote, "This is a great market that carries a variety of items, including deli goods and healthier everyday items. They have some natural, organic brands that I go to Whole Foods for. Some items are slightly more expensive, but it's the price of convenience."
And Aubrey C. said, "I love this place! I stop and get lunch in here pretty often. The food is always good, and the people are always so friendly and helpful! I highly recommend you check it out! They have a great selection of items!"
The new store is open from 8 a.m.–8 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m.–7 p.m. on Saturday, and noon–6 p.m. on Sunday.
