St. Veg

St. Veg is a vegan Vietnamese restaurant that recently opened.
The dishes are 100 percent plant-based and are free from preservatives, additives like MSG, GMOs and artificial colorings or sweeteners. From touch screens at the counter, you'll choose from the various small plates, bowls and soups and sandwiches on offer. Expect combos like the caramel tofu bowl with pickled mustard greens, or a banh mi sandwich made with jicama, tofu, yams and crispy rice noodles.
It's getting positive feedback so far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 49 reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Sierra T. said, "The natural gift of flavor is so delicately balanced at St. Veg. Nothing is over salted or sugared, simply a divine medley of herbs and spices that allow your palate to appreciate the wholesome deliciousness of plant-based eating."
Jami S. added, "This is a plant-based restaurant. Everything is made fresh to order. The owner is so kind. I really like the touch screen they have. It makes ordering so easy. The sandwich I had was amazing."
The new eatery is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon–8 p.m. on Sunday.
Onelife Fitness

Onelife Fitness is a new gym.
The fitness center fills two floors of space, including strength training and cardio areas, basketball courts and an indoor pool. Separate rooms host group fitness classes, like yoga and Zumba, and personal trainers are on hand to help with weight loss, rehab, bodybuilding and athletic training goals.
The new gym has gotten solid reviews thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Bri C., wrote, "Super amazing club. It's obvious how much thought was put into every detail of this place. Great energy, staff and options to feel your best."
Yelper Dan M. added, “My favorite area by far was the weight lifting zone. I think the layout is fantastic. I was disappointed to see that the pool is not operational yet, neither is the kids' club, neither are the steam rooms, neither are the saunas. There is still ongoing construction in those areas.”

Kabuto

Kabuto is a sushi bar, ramen and teppanyaki spot.
Whether you prefer regular table seating or want to see the show at the teppanyaki tables — also known as hibachi — you'll enjoy a full menu of ramen, sushi, soups and appetizers. Grilled meats from the teppanyaki grills include everything from chicken and New York steak to lobster and salmon. Ramen comes in shio, shoyu and vegan styles, and are topped with items like chashu pork or chicken, a soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms and fish cake. Enjoy with a classic cocktail or a glass of California wine.
It's gotten solid feedback from local diners so far, which put it at 3.5 stars out of 21 reviews on Yelp.
Erica L., who reviewed it on Dec. 22, said, "The fish was so fresh and the space is absolutely beautiful. Staff is fun and engaging. We had sushi at the bar, but gorgeous hibachi space as well!"
And Yelper A K. noted, "Sashimi and sushi rolls were delicious. Ramen was awesome. Garlicky edamame was delicious. House sake was awesome."
