First, kick off the 20th Chicago Irish Film Festival this Thursday at the Opening Night Gala. If you're interested in social problems, this Jim Sheridan documentary "Shelter Me" explores how activists, celebrities and others took over Dublin's City Centre, a vacant government building, in response to Ireland's housing crisis.

"Under the Clock" Midwest Premiere

Don't miss stories of love, loss, hope and disappointment captured in "Under the Clock" playing this Saturday at the Gallery Theatre. First dates, reunions of old friends and tourist stops — they have all happened under Dublin's landmark, Clery's clock. Director Colm Nicell and Producer Garry Walsh will be on hand to answer questions after the film.

"Grace and Goliath" Midwest Premiere

Check out "Grace and Goliath," — a film where Hollywood meets Belfast —showing this Saturday at the Logan Theatre. The story centers on A-lister Josh Jenkins who arrives in Northern Ireland with a big ego and moviemaking dreams. But things don't go as planned, and he is forced to live with a local hotel cleaner named Lily and her working class family.

"I, Dolours" and "Brexit" Screening and Reception

Finally, get double the entertainment with two screenings and a reception. Based on the Boston Tapes, "I, Dolours" follows the story of one woman, who joined a secret IRA unit and was later convicted for her role in 1973 Old Bailey Bombings. In "Brexit," actor Stephen Rea explores the future and significance of the Irish border from multiple perspectives.
