A new addition to Alhambra, Chula Seafood is a seafood market and restaurant, offering seafood, poke and more that's located at 100 E. Camelback Road, Suite 172.

This is the second location for the family-run outpost, which got its start as a wholesale line-caught fishing business in San Diego. The FV Chula — the business' fishing boat — is docked in Point Loma, California, where Chula Seafood Wholesale still maintains operations, according to its website.

The restaurant's new Uptown location bills itself as a fast casual destination with counter service and fresh and smoked fish, poke and more offered by the pound.

On the menu, expect to see an assortment of starters, like sashimi, smoked fish and grilled oysters. Signature poke bowls include variations, like the Salmon Coconut Noodle bowl with salmon poke, fresh veggies and rice noodles; or the Hawaiian with yellow fin tuna, shaved jalapeño and macadamia. Swordfish tacos are a popular staple, as well. (Check out the full lineup here.)

The casual eatery serves up Southern-inspired eats with selections of breaded shrimp, sausage and seafood gumbo, twin lobster rolls and more. Guests may also dig into the Cajun seafood boil, which offers an array of seafood and customizable sauces, spices and toppings. (Check it out here.)
