Movie screening and Discussion: "The Vernon Johns Story"

Join Black Wall Street Arizona for a viewing of "The Vernon Johns Story," a film that depicts the life of minister Vernon Johns and his fight for social equality and the economic independence of black Americans during the 40s and 50s.

The screening will be followed by a discussion that addresses the impact of his work.

USA National Miss Arizona 2019

The 2019 USA National Miss Arizona pageant will take place this Saturday at the South Mountain Performing Arts Center. Contestants will compete to be one of seven winners to move on to the USA National Miss National Competition.

The event will feature an opening production number, a runway competition and an evening gown competition.

Devour Week - Bartending Competition

Bartenders from the Devour Phoenix Coalition will be competing in a cocktail competition this Sunday to be Arizona's Star Bartender. The contestants will face critique from a lineup of celebrity judges.

The event will also benefit the Local First Arizona Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating sustainable economic opportunities in Arizona.
