A new bakery, offering desserts, ice cream and frozen yogurt and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The fresh addition to West Cambridge, called Milk Bar Harvard Square, is located at 3 Brattle St. It also has five other locations, including in Toronto, New York City and Los Angeles.
The spot offers custom orders and also unique twists on desserts that are already on the menu. You can order a six-inch strawberry lemon cake, featuring vanilla cake, lemon cheesecake, milk crumbs, pickled strawberry jam and pickled strawberry frosting. Or try the 10-inch popcorn cakes, a buttery popcorn cake layered with salty caramel, popcorn crumbs and popcorn pudding with corn fudge on top. (See all that's available here.)
Milk Bar Harvard Square has gotten off to an uneven start thus far, with a three-star rating out of 46 reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Shiri J. wrote, “Yes, the cookies are pre-packed, but they are so delicious! I tried the blueberry and confetti one and they warmed them up for me. It was so flavorful!”
