A new fabric store, offering art classes, knitting supplies and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Needles Studio, the fresh arrival is located at 3666 El Camino Real, Suite A in Barron Park.

The studio is a sewing workshop that offers both adult and youth classes. The venue also hosts an open house on Thursdays for community members to work on projects and socialize with other creatives.

With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the new fabric store seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Chelsea C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on February 22, wrote, "My kids have taken an embroidery class and sewing class and loved both the classes and their finished products. As an instructor, Erika is calm, approachable and explains each skill in easily manageable steps."

And Elaine T. wrote, "Took a Sashiko class here yesterday and loved it. Great project and lovely atmosphere. And an opportunity to 'sewcialize' with creative, inspiring crafters."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Needles Studio is open from noon–6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. (It's closed on Monday and Sunday.)
