If you've got French food and drinks on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called Colette Wine Bistro, the new arrival is located at 1924 Massachusetts Ave., Porter Square Hotel in North Cambridge.
The new bistro offers breakfasts and dinners influenced by French classics. From 7-10 a.m., expect freshly baked croissants, baguettes, Greek yogurt, omelettes and more. And from 5-11 p.m., dinner entrees includes everything from seafood samplers, charcuterie and French onion soup to a Porterhouse steak, and a burger topped with sautéed spinach, tomato compote and red wine aioli.
With a 4.5-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Laurie M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 17, wrote, "Amazing service, ambiance and food! I will be back. Rivals all the high-end French cuisine in Boston."
And A P. wrote, "The cocktail list was interesting, headlined by the Midnight in Paris, an inky black concoction that seemed rather popular. We started with a nice cheese plate and some really excellent bread. Wife got the onion soup, and I choose the steak tartare. Both very solid renditions."
Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood and check it out for yourself.
