"The Highwaymen" and "The Rookie"

Enjoy a free double feature of director John Lee Hancock's "The Highwaymen" (2019) and "The Rookie" (2002) at The Egyptian Theatre on Wednesday.

"The Highwaymen" tells the true story of the two former Texas Rangers who captured Bonnie and Clyde, while "The Rookie" depicts the true story of Jim Morris, a high school coach who bet his team that if they won the district championship, he would try out for the major leagues.

Pet Sematary 30th Anniversary Midnight Screening

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of "Pet Sematary" with a midnight Friday screening at Los Feliz 3. The horror movie, penned by Stephen King, tells the story of a young family who move to a small rural town. When they discover a mysterious burial ground that has reanimating powers, they bury their recently-deceased family cat in the ancient graveyard, inadvertently unleashing evil.

Dennis Villeneuve's "Sicario" at the Vista

Take in a midnight screening of Denis Villeneuve's 2015 film, "Sicario" this Friday. The film, starring Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro, follows an FBI agent who becomes embroiled in the shady world of drug trafficking and cartels, and the US governmental organizations who investigate and work to bring them down.
