Foals at Fox Theater

English rock band Foals will perform tonight at the Fox Theater. Featured at a number of festivals, including Coachella, the group is releasing two albums this year. Part one of "Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost" came out this month, while part two will be released in the fall. Tonight, you can catch them playing tunes from their five albums, including new single "Exits."

John Crist at Paramount Theater

Known for viral videos like “Millennial International,” “Lady Who Has a Bible Verse for Every Situation,” and “Road Rage in the Church Parking Lot,” comedian John Crist is now hitting the road for his "Human Being Tour." At his Oakland tour stop tomorrow night, fans can expect brand-new videos and brand-new material, along with appearances by fellow comedians like Dustin Nickerson, Mike Goodwin, and Aaron Weber.

Oakland Marathon & Running Festival

This Sunday's 10th annual Oakland Marathon is part of a full portfolio of races that take in the sights and sounds of the Town. With options like a half-marathon, relay, 5K and a "we run the Town" challenge (a 5K plus a half-marathon), there's a race for every age and experience level. All of the events start and finish at Eastshore Park, near Lake Merritt.

Women Pioneers in Oakland

Curious about the historic women who helped make Oakland what it is today? In honor of Women's History Month, lecturer and author Michael Colbruno will lead a talk at the Pardee Home Museum about the pioneering women in Oakland arts, science, law, business, civil rights and more. Admission includes a champagne reception with sweets and hors d'oeuvres
