San Jose-based cloud computing company Tachyum has secured $17 million in grant funding, according to company database Crunchbase, topping the city’s recent funding headlines. The cash infusion was announced March 13 and financed by Government of Slovak Republic.

In other local funding news, artificial intelligence company Vintra announced a $4.8 million Series A funding round on March 11, led by Bonfire Ventures.

According to Crunchbase, "Vintra makes AI-powered video analytic solutions that transform any real-world video into actionable and tailored intelligence, enabling our customers to build the safest and most productive organizations in the world."

The company also raised a seed round in 2017.
