A new spot to score tacos and more has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 2510 W. Thunderbird Road in North Mountain, the new addition is called Encinas Tacos.
The Mexican restaurant serves tacos, burritos, protein plates and quesadillas with either chicken, beef or pastor on a corn, flour or fit (lettuce) tortilla. There is also the mulita (crispy corn tortilla with pastor meat and cheese) and the lorenza (crispy corn tortilla with meat, cheese and refried beans). Click here to see the full menu. Also, look for karaoke nights beginning in the near future.
The newcomer has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.
Justin H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 15, wrote, "The owner and staff were very friendly and the food was out of this world. The pollo asada had a strong delicious smokey flavor [that was] probably the best pollo asad I have ever had, and the carne asada was very good. My buddy loved the el pastor."
Yelper Brandon W. added, “This place is bomb. I had the steak tacos and oh boy are they good, and the amount of meat they give you is amazing! This place will be my go to for tacos moving forward.”
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Encinas Tacos is open from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and 10 a.m.–midnight on Friday-Sunday.
