Last year, Councilwoman Sandoval brought together the Texas Department of Transportation, the City and our neighbors to develop a comprehensive solution to congestion on Bandera Road and a revitalization of the corridor that connects one end of the District to the other. Because this issue is important to you, the City of San Antonio is working jointly with TxDOT to engage the public, identify congestion relief solutions and bring more desirable businesses to Bandera Road. Join the City of San Antonio’s Planning Department staff from the districts 6, 7 and 8 council offices and councilwoman Sandoval to kick off the Bandera Road Corridor Plan on April 29 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at City Church on 9431 Bandera Road.

Eye on Sight! San Antonio, TX

The Macular Degeneration Association will be hosting a free awareness program titled "Eyes on Sight!" at the DoubleTree San Antonio on Saturday, May 4th. This program will cover the following subjects: age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic macular edema (DME) and low vison aides. The Macular Degeneration Association provides a supportive learning environment for people living with macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. This half-day program offers a forum to hear from a prominent doctor’s about the latest research, and new treatments, therapies, clinical trials and low vision devises.
