New Ethiopian spot LeYou Ethiopian debuts in DowntownPhoto: John D. /Yelp

A new Ethiopian spot has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1100 N. First St., Suite C in Downtown, the fresh arrival is called LeYou Ethiopian.

The restaurant dishes up k'ey wot, steak tartare and alicha with lamb, beef, chicken, portabello mushrooms or whitefish. Find vegetarian options, Ethiopian honey wines and beers on the menu, too.

With a 4.5-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp so far, LeYou Ethiopian has already made a good impression.

Peter G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 6, wrote, "As per usual with Ethiopian restaurants, their vegetarian options are bomb. The beer selection is a good mix of local draft beer from Happas and imported Ethiopian beer. "

And Mohit G. wrote, "This place is a great addition to the list of Ethiopian restaurants in the bay area. The staff is very friendly and the place is nicely decorated. Portion size is also very generous."

Head on over to check it out: LeYou Ethiopian is open from 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday.
