Newt, Maine coon and tabby mix

Newt is a male Maine coon and tabby mix currently housed at Happy Cats Haven.

Newt's ideal forever home would be a dog-free environment. Happy Cats Haven wants to place Newt in a home without small children. Newt is already neutered and vaccinated. He's already house-trained.

Notes on Newt:

I'm a big fluffy tabby fellow with dapper white patches, a lot like my cousins the Maine coons, only no fancy papers. You can see by my tipped ear badge of courage that I survived living outside on my own. I'm a sweet gent, though, so I was probably someone's beloved little kitten until I got lost or abandoned along the way. My foster mom says I love head rubs and will come running for them if you snap your fingers. I really appreciate getting to know you well before being snuggled or picked up, probably because I've had some bad experiences with that along the way. If backed into a corner, I can go into defensive mode, but give me enough space to work it out and I'm your gentle giant. I'll be a great social secretary once I know I'm safe, talking to you as I follow you around. I even got to where I was a lap cat with my foster mom, so graduating to snuggle bunny isn't out of the question if you're patient. I'm a little afraid of men, so the fellows in the house may have to work a little harder to earn my trust. I will do better in a home without small children or dogs, as loud noises and lots of activity make me want to hide. I do like other cats, but can be a bit forward with them, so will do best with other easygoing guys like me. I won't do well with anyone who tends to be aggressive, as that makes me feel like I need to defend myself. I didn't know what toys were when I first came into the house, so I'll need a gentle introduction to most wand toys so it doesn't look like you're about to hit me with them. I'll also need some training to know where to scratch, like luring me with catnip and telling me when I'm a good boy and scratch where you want. I'm just looking for a patient, quiet family who will let me get back to that lost little kitten I once was, purring and trying to please.

Ocela, tabby and domestic shorthair mix

Ocela is an adorable female tabby and domestic shorthair mix currently housed at Happy Cats Haven.

Ocela wants all your attention: She will need a home free of other cats and dogs. She's been vaccinated and spayed. Good news: She's already house-trained.

More about Ocela:

I am a beautiful brown-striped tabby girl. My eyes are a beautiful gold color. You can tell by my tipped-ear badge of courage that I've survived some time on the street. As your social secretary, I’m just plain good company. I'm happy to help with whatever you need, wherever you need me. I love to just hang out with my favorite people, rolling over on my back, flirting and purring (just no belly rubs please). I'm a perfect sidecar cat, the one who likes to be near you but not especially right on your lap. I'm an affectionate lady but appreciate coming for pets on my own terms. I tend to get excited with too much petting and move into play mode, which can make me seem aggressive. I really just want to play. Please let me show you when I've had enough so that you can stop petting before I accidentally scratch or bite. At about 7 years old, I'm still a youngster and love to play when you get out the wand toys. Lots of playtime with a toy will help me relax more when it comes to quiet time too. I would do best in a home without any other pets or children, and best with a cat lover who has experience with sensitive kitties like me.

Sammy, Dilute tortoiseshell and tabby mix

Sammy is an adorable female Dilute tortoiseshell and tabby mix currently housed at Happy Cats Haven.

She has been vaccinated and spayed. No need to worry: She has already been house-trained.

Notes about Sammy:

I am a beautiful dilute torti gal. My eyes are a beautiful blend of greens and yellows, and my fur is nice and soft. I am a snuggle bunny and enjoy giving people head bonks and loud purrs. At 12 years old, I still have a lot of love to give to my new family. My sister Sissy and I came to Happy Cats Haven when our previous owner passed away. We would do best in a calmer family who is looking for more of a cuddle companion than a playing companion. My sister and I have been through a lot together and need to stay together.

Sissy, tortoiseshell and domestic shorthair mix

Sissy is a female tortoiseshell and domestic shorthair mix staying at Happy Cats Haven.

She has been vaccinated and spayed. She is already house-trained.

More about Sissy:

I am a snuggle bunny. Imagine yourself snuggling someone as cute as I am, with my beautiful gray, white and orange patches. I am 12 years old and still have plenty of love to give to my new family. My sister Sammy and I came to Happy Cats Haven when our previous owner passed away. We would do best in a calmer family who is looking for more of a cuddle companion than a playing companion. My sister and I have been through a lot together and need to stay together.

Spot, domestic shorthair mix

Spot is a male domestic shorthair mix currently housed at Happy Cats Haven.

He already has all of his shots, and he's neutered. Fear not: He's already house-trained.

Notes about Spot:

I love to give hugs. When I know I can trust you, I love to get in your lap and rest my paws on your shoulder and nuzzle your cheek. I am what you call a snuggle bunny. Aside from being the sweetest boy you'll ever meet, I am very handsome with my white patches and orange fur. I came to Happy Cats when my previous owner could no longer care for me. I am currently with a foster and learning to trust again. I would be OK in a house where I am the only pet or with other nice pets.

Booboo, domestic shorthair mix

Booboo is a sweet male domestic shorthair mix in the care of Happy Cats Haven.

Booboo gets along well with other cats. He is looking for a dog-free forever home. Booboo will do best in a home without dogs or small children. He's been vaccinated and neutered. Have no fear: He's already house-trained.

Here's what Booboo's friends at Happy Cats Haven think of him:

Boo Boo is a sweet gentle black panther with a white patch on his chest and gorgeous emerald eyes. He is a little more on the shy side, but a boy who thrives on human interaction and calm voices once he gets to know you. Boo Boo is about 3 years old and prefers to cuddle as opposed to playing. With a feather toy, he may play for a little bit but will be asking for pets before too long. He came to us when his owners could no longer care for them. He will probably blossom if he has a quieter home without dogs or small children.
