Reggie is a six-year-old Pekingese/Spaniel mix that is Mr. Personality. He is very playful, loves to go for walks and every time he sees a leash he’s hopping up-and-down and ready to go. He is great with other dogs and would enjoy having a playmate in his new home. His new home should either have another dog as a companion or a stay-at-home parent. Reggie is companion-oriented and it would not be fair to leave him alone for 10 hours a day as an only-dog while you work. He knows how to use the doggie door and is crate-trained. We are are uncertain as to how he would be with little kids, so children over the age of eight should be fine.

Klaus ended on the kill list, so we stepped in to save this guy, who by all accounts has blossomed from a very scared and timid stray to a trusting and faithful dog. He is still shy at first, but will attach himself to you as soon as he determines you mean him no harm. Treats are very persuasive. He’ll be leaning on you and asking for love in no time. He is leash and house-trained, well-behaved and does not bark. He is calm, gentle and playful, without being bothersome and loves going on walks. He is a great companion dog. He mixes well with large dogs, his reaction to smaller dogs has not yet been evaluated and he does not like cats. He is looking for his new best friend and ready for adoption.
