Join LA County Bicycle Coalition on a historical Arroyo Seco bike ride. Learn about the history and importance of the Arroyo Seco and the ever-changing communities of Cypress Park, Highland Park and South Pasadena it helped establish. We will flow into the open streets celebration of 626 Golden Streets presented by Metro. This is a one-way ride that ends at 626 Golden Streets (the start of the ride is accessible via the Metro Gold Line). Start your morning on LA’s bike corridor at Antigua Coffee. This cafe has been a pillar of the Northeast LA bike community and is located two blocks away from the Metro Gold Line Heritage Square Station. We will then ride to Debs Park for a water and restroom break and enjoy an optional nature loop hike. We continue our ride through Highland Park were we will discuss the changing forces that face the community and the street art that has emerged from it.
