The Princess Bride

In this enchantingly cracked fairy tale, the beautiful Princess Buttercup and the dashing Westley must overcome staggering odds to find happiness amid six-fingered swordsmen, murderous princes, Sicilians and rodents of unusual size. But even death can't stop these true lovebirds from triumphing.

With a Tomatometer Score of 97% and an Audience Score of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, this 1987 release boasts plenty of accolades. The New York Daily News' Chris Chase said, "Mandy Patinkin, an actor not known for humor, is particularly wonderful as Inigo, a Spaniard out to avenge the death of his father at the hands," while Richard Corliss of Time magazine noted, "As you watch this enchanting fantasy, feel free to be thrilled or to giggle, as you wish."

In the mood for popcorn? It's playing at Icon Cinema Colorado Springs (1818 Spring Water Place) through Wednesday, May 22. Click here for showtimes and tickets.

Avengers: Endgame

After the devastating events of "Avengers: Infinity War," the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos' actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.

With a Tomatometer Score of 95% and an Audience Score of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, "Avengers: Endgame" has become a favorite since its release on April 26.

"What you will be getting when you walk into an inevitably overstuffed movie theater is something singular that reflects our age in a way that none of the MCU films that preceded it have - indeed, very few Hollywood spectacles ever have," according to Oliver Jones of the Observer, while the San Diego Reader's Matthew Lickona said, "The MCU will go on and on, but this chapter - and the American pragmatism vs. American ideals bromance that drove it - have well and truly come to their 'Excelsior! Nuff said!' moment."

You can catch it at Cinemark Tinseltown USA and XD (1545 E. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd.), Icon Cinema Colorado Springs (1818 Spring Water Place), AMC Classic Colorado Springs 10 (1550 Pulsar Drive), and Cinemark Carefree Circle and IMAX (3305 Cinema Point) through Wednesday, May 22. A boy is given the ability to become an adult superhero in times of need with a single magic word.

With a Tomatometer Score of 90% and an Audience Score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, "Shazam!" has been getting attention since its release on April 5. Time Out's Joshua Rothkopf said, "For a long, glorious stretch, 'Shazam!' plays like the anti-Nolan antidote it is," while Matthew Rozsa of Salon.com stated, "'Shazam!' is the funniest, sweetest and most innocent movie in the DC Extended Universe - a sign that it is at last ready to compete with Marvel."

Want to see for yourself? It's playing at Cinemark Tinseltown USA and XD (1545 E. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd.) through Wednesday, May 22; and Regal Interquest & RPX (1120 Interquest Parkway) through Wednesday, May 22. Click here for showtimes and tickets.
