There's a brand-new arcade bar in town. Located at 405 N. Euclid Ave. in Central West End, the new arrival is called Up-Down STL. The Iowa-based business has four other outposts in major Midwestern cities, including one in Kansas City.

The bar features vintage video games, pinball machines and patio games such as shuffleboard. All games cost a quarter.

There's also an extensive selection of local and craft brews for gamers to sample as they play. Hungry? Pizza is available by the slice or whole pie, including one topped with mac and cheese and a Hawaiian option with smoked ham and pineapple.

Up-Down STL has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.

Anna B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 24, wrote, "Loved the vibe of this place! Definitely winning among the currently available arcade bar options in St. Louis."

Yelper Scott A. added, “Had a great time. Love the Battletoads because it's one of the best games. Outdoor area is nice and well designed, they just need some cornhole. $2 pizza was amazing! Will definitely be coming back.”
