San Francisco's mobile industry is pulling in new investment, with 14 local companies securing venture capital. New funding rounds were recently announced by mobile ventures IRL App, KangaDo and Youper, according to company database Crunchbase.

IRL App topped the city's recent funding headlines by announcing a $8 million Series A round on June 13, led by Goodwater Capital.

Next up, KangaDo raised $3.6 million in Series A funding, in a round announced on June 14 and financed by National Express Group.

Founded in 2012, the company has raised two previous rounds, including a seed round in 2017.

Meanwhile, Youper raised $3 million in seed funding, announced on June 18. The round was also financed by Goodwater Capital.

From the company's Crunchbase profile, "Youper is an AI-powered assistant that helps people manage their emotions and behaviors. Everyone has emotional challenges, and one in four people on the planet faces serious mental health issues. In the US alone, 43 million people are affected by problems like anxiety and depression, but 60% don't get support."

Youper last raised $530,000 in seed funding in 2018.

In total, San Francisco-based mobile companies have raised $732 million in venture funding over the past month, and $6.8 billion over the past year.
