
San Francisco's software industry is raking in new investment, with 45 local companies securing venture capital. New funding rounds were recently announced by software ventures Skupos, Apollo, AnyRoad and ReUp Education, according to company database Crunchbase.
Skupos topped the city's recent funding headlines by announcing a $26 million Series B round on June 10, led by Insight Partners.
According to its Crunchbase profile, "Skupos leverages technology to convert manual processes into data-driven workflows. Skupos drives business outcomes from business data. The company records and analyzes billions of transactions every year for stores, brands, and distribution partners."
The three-year-old startup has raised four previous funding rounds, including a $6.4 million Series A round in 2018.
Next up, Apollo raised $22 million in Series C funding, in a round announced on June 12 and led by Matrix Partners.
According to Crunchbase, "Driving the momentum behind GraphQL, its Data Graph Platform helps developers, startups, and enterprises get the most out of GraphQL. Apollo builds open source tools and commercial services used by thousands of developers in production and has cultivated a strong community around GraphQL. With the Apollo Data Graph Platform, customers like Expedia, Airbnb, Audi, SurveyMonkey, and others rapidly implement GraphQL, consistent with industry best practices."
Founded in 2011, the company has raised three previous rounds, including a $20 million Series B round in 2015.
Meanwhile, AnyRoad raised $9.2 million in Series A funding, announced on June 4. The round's investors were led by Andreessen Horowitz.
