Lions, Tigers, and Bears! Oh My!

From the event description:

Carolyn Mueller graduated with an English degree in 2009 — one of the worst years ever for college graduates! In order to wait out the recession and bide her time before graduate school, Carolyn decided to continue to work at the St. Louis Zoo, where she'd been working since high school, first in guest services and then in the education department. By happy accident, Carolyn found herself working as a keeper in the Children's Zoo. One thing led to another and that part-time gig turned into a full-time career, eventually landing her a spot in the Carnivore Unit, caring for the Zoo's lion, tigers and bears. Combining her passions for both animals and writing, Carolyn never fully left that English degree behind and is the author of six children's books.

When: Tuesday, July 16, 7-8 p.m.
Where: Alpha Brewing Company, 4310 Fyler Ave.
