A new Middle Eastern spot has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called Aziza, the new addition is located at 1170 Howell Mill Road, Suite P10B in Home Park.
The food at Aziza is centered around the restaurant's wood-burning oven and open kitchen. The menu features Israeli dishes made with influences from Lebanese, Moroccan, Persian and Iranian cuisine, such as braised lamb shank, roasted duck and hummus. All of the breads and most of the meats and vegetables are made in the wood-burning oven.
Aziza has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Heather G. wrote, “Aziza brings a new Israeli taste to the neighborhood. We enjoyed kubaneh (traditional yeast pull apart bread) and the coffee braised short rib hummus with pita to start. The hummus was good, not great. The haloumi was a delicious plate — the peaches were perfectly ripened. The Akko prawns really hit it out of the park for us. Full of flavor, complex, and filling.”
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Aziza is open from 5–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 5–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 5–9 p.m. on Sunday.
