A new bar and Mediterranean bistro has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The fresh arrival to Oak Cliff, called Paradiso, is located at 308 N. Bishop.

Paradiso offers "seasonal fare, inspired by Southern Europe's coastal approach to dining," in the words of the business' Facebook page. On the menu, expect to see items like lavender grapefruit oysters, white anchovy pizza, chilled angel hair pasta, seared halibut, a wood-fired pork chop and a sizable cocktail list.

Paradiso has gotten a fairly enthusiastic response thus far, with a four-star rating out of 13 reviews on Yelp.

"The food was incredible," wrote Rachel S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new restaurant on Aug. 26. "We definitely recommend the shoulder porchetta, the cold angel hair noodles (so refreshing!) and the Italian sausage pizza. We topped everything off with the most amazing strawberry shortcake I have ever had. The Paradiso Dallas cocktail was amazing, as well."

Yelper Sara M. added, “The dining room is airy and beautiful, warm without being dark. The fish was exquisite, the pasta with chanterelles gorgeous and the wine and cocktail offerings unexpected and unique. Service was outstanding, and we will absolutely be back."

Paradiso has yet to post its hours online.
