The number of crime incidents in Worcester for the week of Oct. 18 to Oct. 24 remained roughly even with the week before, according to data from CrimeoMeter, which collects reports from police agencies and validated sources.

The offenses that increased the most were assault and disorderly conduct. Assault rose to 103 incidents, from 88 the week before. Disorderly conduct went from 281 to 289.

There was one reported rape or sexual assault. That represents a steady state from the previous week. There were also six incidents of robbery, up from five the week before.

Among the few types of offenses that saw a downturn, reports of auto theft went from 26 to 21. Incidents of trespassing fell from 16 to 12, and burglary went down from 20 to 17.

There were 1,278 reports of miscellaneous other crimes, a decrease of 21 from the previous week. Other crimes includes a variety of offenses like trespassing, public disturbance and violation of a court order.

Regarding when most crimes are committed, Friday, Saturday and Monday had the most reported crimes. The largest increase from the previous week occurred on Thursday, Monday and Wednesday, while incidents on Tuesday went down. Comparing times of day, late afternoon, early afternoon and late morning saw the most crime last week.
