1. Olive Cafe

Topping the list is Olive Cafe, located at 9530 James A Reed Road in Bannister Acres. The grocery store and Middle Eastern spot is the highest-rated cheap grocery store in Kansas City, boasting 4.5 stars out of 148 reviews on Yelp. 

Yelper Amber T., who reviewed Olive Cafe on Oct. 15, wrote, "I love this place so much. I live in Overland Park, but have worked in Raytown for the last year and this is one of maybe 3 decent places to eat in all of Raytown."

Yelper Bill H., who reviewed Carollo's Italian Gourmet Grocery on Aug. 16, wrote, "Simply stated, the best Italian sandwich I have ever had. I've eaten here for 20+ years and every time the sandwich is a 10! Try the #1 with the hot Italian relish."

Adam S. noted, "This funky little shop is perfect for 39th Street. It's like if CVS had a bohemian brother and a hell of a lot less square footage to work with."
