Topping the list is Amy's Donuts. Located at 2704 E. Fountain Blvd., it is the highest-rated low-priced bakery in Colorado Springs, boasting 4.5 stars out of 558 reviews on Yelp. 

In terms of signature items, "Amy's Donuts strives to fry, bake and serve on a daily basis the most delicious and cleverest donuts in the world," it writes on its Yelp page.

Finally, there's The Cupcake Doctor, another Northeast Colorado Springs favorite with four stars out of 42 reviews. Stop by 3312 Austin Bluffs Parkway to hit up the bakery.

Yelper Violet K., who reviewed The Cupcake Doctor on Nov. 15 wrote, "I got a six-pack of cupcakes and a snickerdoodle macaroon. First ever macaroon and I love it. It was crisp but so tender and soft. The filling was a perfect marshmallow fluff. I got tastes of cinnamon, and this really was the perfect fall treat." 

And Chandie K. wrote, "I ordered four macarons.  They were peppermint flavor. This is by far the best mac I've had in this city. It's exactly as it should be. The shell was perfection — soft but crisp, not too sweet."
