A new Indian spot has opened up shop in the neighborhood. The fresh addition to Raynor, called Curriz, is located at 1082 E. El Camino Real.
Curriz serves up Indian cuisine. The menu features biryani, dosa and tandoori chicken. The spot also has a dosa buffet, vegetarian options and buttered naan.
With a 3.5-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, Curriz has made a promising start.
Meenu R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Dec. 25, wrote, "There were a lot of options for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Vegetarian had Sambar, Rasam, kootu, poriyal; all of it was good with authentic South Indian taste. The best dish in my opinion was the poondu vengaya kulambu. It was on the spicier side, but it was full of flavor."
And Carlos S. wrote, "We got sizzling paneer, cheese dosa, paneer pakora (fried cheese) and garlic naan. We ended with the most amazing combo ever, gulab jamun with ice cream. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend trying this place out!"
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Curriz is open from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.–10 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and 10 p.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday.
