Hungry? A new Colombian eatery in the neighborhood has you covered. Located at 5431 E. Grand Ave. in Northeast Dallas, the fresh arrival is called Sabor Latino.

Sabor Latino specializes in made-from-scratch Columbian fare, as noted on its Facebook page. On the menu, look for traditional dishes like ajiaco (chicken and potato soup), yucca fries, a whole red snapper, fried pork belly, empanadas and a variety of fruit juices.

Sabor Latino has proven quite popular thus far, considering it's garnered a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Teresa L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the newcomer on Jan. 17, wrote, "This was a clean and bright little spot ... Had an excellent meal. Very fresh ingredients, full of flavor and served with a cilantro and chipotle salsa."

Yelper Anthony W. added, “Empanadas are phenomenal, and each soup I have tried [so] far hits the spot. This is the most authentic Colombian cuisine you are going to find near Dallas."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Sabor Latino is open from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. daily.
