Looking to chow down on some Middle Eastern fare? A new spot has you covered. Called Pita 22, it's at 7825 Highlands Village Place, Suite E 105, in Torrey Highlands.

Pita 22's menu includes "hummus, chicken shawarma, beef kebabs, falafel, shakshuka, salads and more in our famous house-made pita, or in a bowl," the restaurant's Facebook page notes. "Try our original house-made hummus with various toppings and come back to taste all 22 of our dishes for a full experience."

The fresh arrival has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp.

Michelle B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 9, wrote, "Pita 22 is a new hummus and grill place. Came for late lunch on a Thursday afternoon, the place was still packed — and I completely understand why! Had an original hummus plate which serves with fresh pita bread that they bake — delicious!"

Yelper Adrian V. added, “Super-excited about Pita 22 opening. Great, authentic Middle Eastern food. Hummus, tahini, falafel were all great. However, the pita is extraordinary! Freshly made on the premises.”

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Pita 22 is open from 11:30 a.m.–8 p.m. daily.
