A new traditional American spot, offering sliders, burgers and other sandwiches, has opened in the neighborhood. Called San Diego Sliders, it's at 909 Grand Ave., Pacific Beach.

The eatery specializes in a variety of made-to-order sliders, including Hawaiian pulled pork, prime rib, chicken and waffles, veggie, Greek, Cubano, lobster and more. It also offers fries and milkshakes.

With a five-star rating out of 26 reviews on Yelp so far, San Diego Sliders is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Sandy B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the spot on Dec. 7, wrote, "Just tried this place tonight and it was really good! Obsessed with the Hawaiian pulled pork. The garlic Parmesan cheese fries and crispy fries were both so tasty, too."

Yelper Catherine B. added, “Waited so long for this spot to open and get my cravings on. My top five favorites: 1. spicy Philly steak; 2. Cubano; 3. garlic bread meatball; 4. lobster; 5. loco moco.”

Head on over to check it out: San Diego Sliders is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on Sunday.
