A new spot to score salads and more has debuted in the neighborhood. Called The Greenspot Salad Company, it's at 2075 Camino De La Reina in Mission Valley East.

The San Diego-based brand's third location, the latest Greenspot offers what the eatery describes as "fresh, natural and premium foods that appeal to the mindful eater." An example of that approach is one of its centerpiece salads, the Superfood, which consists of baby spinach, shredded kale, broccoli, roasted yam, quinoa, avocado, lemon juice and olive oil. In addition to a variety of salads, the spot offers bowls, soups and wraps.

The new arrival has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp.

David G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the spot on Jan. 8, wrote, "Was in the area and looking for something healthy. Very clean and nice inside. I had the Superfood (with a different dressing), and it was awesome. Lots of yummy quinoa and avocado. I added tofu to my salad, which was delicious. Definitely a great option!"

And Mira P. wrote, "Wonderful healthy addition to the neighborhood. Large portions, healthy fast-food options — so excited to try everything on the menu!"

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. The Greenspot Salad Company is open from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on weekends.
