A new bar has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called LVL Up, the new arrival is located at 409 S. Second St. in Downtown.

LVL Up is an arcade and gastropub offering a vast variety of multiplayer, shooter, racing and fighting games, as well as classics like Centipede and Donkey Kong.

In between games, snack on mac and cheese poppers, fried shishito peppers, barbecue pork sliders or seared green bean dippers with Spanish garlic aioli. There are also larger dishes, sandwiches and salads on offer, as well as desserts like the salted caramel fudge brownie.

With a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, LVL Up has gotten a good response.

Manda Bear B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 15, wrote, "If you love pinball, PAC-man, Killer Queen and all the arcade games in the '80s and '90s, you will love it here. There's also craft beer, wine and Sochi/sake with small bites."

And Business O. wrote, "It's a great place to hang out and have drinks and food with friends while playing all kinds of games including video games, pinball and just about every board game."

Head on over to check it out: LVL Up is open from 3 p.m.–midnight on Monday-Thursday, noon-midnight on Friday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-midnight on Sundays.
