Here's your stay-at-home San Francisco event calendar for Friday, May 8. Tune in to a musical theater concert, play drag queen bingo or join an open mic night — all from the comfort of your couch.
Special Performance From Golden Hour

Local classical pianist Kevin Navarro will be broadcasting a live performance from Inner Richmond vintage clothing The Golden Hour, with an emphasis on musical theater. Navarro says that he will be playing a selection of songs from timeless Broadway classics, as well as a few from more recent productions.

An Evening of Self-Care

Need to find a way to unwind amid the pandemic stress? Join Love Story Yoga for this talk with yoga instructors Jason Crandell and Stephanie Snyder, and former Yoga Journal editor Andrea Ferretti. They'll share how they use tools from yoga, meditation, and other modalities to practice self-care.
100% of proceeds will be donated to Direct Relief, which provides PPE to health workers.

Drag Queen Bingo

Social club The Battery is hosting an evening of sassy bingo, mixed with drag performances and comedy. Announce your win and earn some "fabulous prizes" by typing "bingo" as a comment on Instagram Live and screenshotting the winning card.

Reap What You Sow: A Virtual Storytelling Event

Dogpatch-based Minnesota Street Project and event series Back Pocket are taking their live storytelling event online, with five true stories of regret, recoil, and repercussion. Each story will be told by the people that lived it: journalists, artists, and "strangers you wish you knew."
