Dance for Strength with Kyra

Tired of staying home all day and moving around less than usual? Join Kyra for a low impact, senior-friendly dance for strength class by logging into Zoom. Just because you are at home doesn't mean you can't work out with others.

How to join: Via SF Community Living Campaign's website. To create a friendly environment and minimize interruptions, new participants won't be able to join the activity 15 minutes after the start time.

A Conversation with de Young museum Director and CEO Thomas Campbell

Tune in and listen to the de Young Museum director and CEO, Thomas P. Campbell, as he talks about the history of the Fine Arts Museums (including the 125th anniversary of the de Young), the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the institution and the broader arts community, and goals for the future. He will also touch on the upcoming Frida Kahlo exhibition.
The discussion will include a Q&A session where questions can be asked directly.

Keep Your Children Calm in the Time of COVID-19

Anxiety is the most common emotional problem in children. Youth can experience test anxiety and social anxiety, and in this era of COVID-19, a unique feeling of fear and uncertainty. Anxiety can present itself as nervousness, but can also include physical symptoms, inattentiveness, aggression, or disruptive behavior.
Golden Gate Mothers Group invites you to join them from the comfort of your home as Dr. Mark Reinecke, clinical director of the Child Mind Institute, Bay Area, speaks about stress and anxiety in youth. He will discuss symptoms of such concerns and present some helpful tips about how you can identify and help your child manage their stress and anxiety during the coronavirus pandemic and at all times.

NightSchool: The Birds & The Bees

Come to a live-streamed talk hosted by the California Academy of Sciences about the birds and the bees, and what brings them together: flowers. Associate curator and McAllister Chair of Botany, Nathalie Nagalingum, will conduct a seasonally appropriate botany lesson while dissecting a flower and discussing its reproductive structures.
Afterward, San Francisco Botanical Garden curator Ryan Guillou will talk about what’s in bloom at the garden, and share some of his favorite flowering plants found there.
