Originally reported by the Palo Alto Daily Post earlier this week, San Mateo County authorities are extraditing Vivian Gomez, 50, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to face charges in connection with the death of Christina Ashten Gourkani, a 34-year-old OnlyFans model and social media influencer best known for her work as a Kim Kardashian lookalike. According to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office, Gomez was hired by Gourkani to assist with a buttocks enhancement procedure.

Gomez traveled to a hotel in Burlingame, California, and administered several injections of what is believed to have been just silicone to Gourkani on April 19, according to Entertainment Tonight. Shortly thereafter, Gourkani began having health issues and died in the early hours of April 20 from a heart attack, according to the Coroner's Office. Gomez was arrested at the Fort Lauderdale Airport and will be charged with involuntary manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license resulting in great bodily injury once she appears in court.

Gourkani, who went by Ashten, is remembered by her family for her kind spirit and her ability to make those around her smile. Her family recalled that she was a licensed insurance agent and had a social media presence, according to her website. On her GoFundMe page, her family wrote that her death is being investigated as a homicide related to a medical procedure that went wrong.

Gourkani had invested about $30,000 in cosmetic changes to make herself look more like Kardashian, according to Entertainment Tonight. On Instagram, Gourkani often recreated the looks and poses of Kardashian and her speech pattern in an interview appeared to mimic Kardashian's as well, according to a HuffPost piece on her death. Adding to the coincidence, the two appear to have shared birthdays, one day apart.

Gourkani's family is seeking $40,000 for her memorial service and has asked for donations in her honor. Gomez will be extradited to Redwood City sometime in the next month to face charges.
