With the closure of the much-loved Anatolian Kitchen, a new culinary chapter has begun in Palo Alto as Naschmarkt, a sister restaurant to the successful Campbell location, has recently opened, bringing unique Austrian cuisine to the area according to Palo Alto Online. The restaurant, inspired by the famous Viennese food market, offers a warm and inviting atmosphere while serving a delightful blend of traditional and Californian flavors.

Restaurateur Dino Tekdemir, who previously co-owned Anatolian Kitchen, has embraced the change, stating that Naschmarkt aims to cater to the community's growing demand for Austrian cuisine. The revamped space at 2323 Birch St. now boasts a cozy atmosphere adorned with red brick walls and an extensive wine rack lining one entire wall reported Paly Voice.

Since opening, Naschmarkt has received rave reviews for its menu, which includes dishes such as red cabbage soup, pretzels, sauerkraut, duck pot pie, wiener schnitzel, and beef goulash. According to a review by Paly Voice, the restaurant has quickly established a loyal following, with both its traditional and Californian-inspired dishes garnering high praise. Diners are particularly fond of the flavorful spicy paprika bratwurst, the scrumptious and satisfying spicy mustard that complements it, and the chilled cucumber-avocado soup that makes for a refreshing palate cleanser.

Another standout offering, the Jäger Schnitzel, has been a hit among diners, who were impressed by the exquisite combination of pork schnitzel, mushroom cream sauce, and a side of broccolini and garlic confit. Further elevating the experience, the dish is also served with a generous helping of spätzle, an Austrian egg pasta, allowing customers to taste yet another authentic Austrian delicacy.

Food enthusiast @siliconvalley.foodies, who recently dined at the Palo Alto location, echoed the pleasure diners have experienced at Naschmarkt, specifically praising the exceptional Wiener Schnitzel, Beef Goulash, and Grilled New York Steak, as well as the unique banana dessert cocktail.
