The area is residential with homes on one side and an apartment complex on the other, and a speed limit of just 25 miles per hour. The actual speed of the vehicle involved in the fatal crash has not been confirmed by police, nor have they disclosed what may have caused the accident. Nevertheless, the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner identified the teenager as Justin Estira of San Jose, and the news quickly spread within his school community.
