Early Monday morning in Pleasanton, police officers tracked down and apprehended two men allegedly responsible for a string of thefts and a high-speed chase that culminated in a crash on I-580 W, according to Pleasanton PD's Twitter account. The suspects, driving a stolen Dodge Charger, reportedly broke into a truck and stole tools before leading officers on a pursuit.

The authorities eventually caught up with the suspects after they crashed their vehicle on I-580 W and attempted to flee on foot. As a result of the dramatic chase, officers were able to recover more than $10,000 worth of stolen items.
