Swiftie Clara Born! Taylor Swift Crowned Honorary Mayor of Santa ClaraGetty Images

Pop sensation Taylor Swift is soon to add another title to her collection, as the City of Santa Clara plans to crown the singer-songwriter honorary mayor during her two-night stop at Levi's Stadium on July 28 and 29 for her much-anticipated Eras Tour, reports the East Bay Times.

This proclamation comes with a fanciful twist, as the city will also ceremonially rename itself 'Swiftie Clara' for the duration of the tour dates, according to the Santa Clara Legislature. Queen of pop, transformative artist, and soon-to-be honorary mayor, Taylor Swift reigns victorious in the hearts of her Swifties worldwide, who eagerly follow her record-breaking Eras Tour across the United States.

The Santa Clara City Council joins the ranks of other cities in this fanfare for the acclaimed singer-songwriter. As East Bay Times reports, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey temporarily renamed his city 'Swiftieapolis' last month, with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz going on to proclaim June 23 and 24 as “Taylor Swift Days”. During the Pittsburgh leg of the tour, Mayor Ed Gainey christened his city 'Swiftsburgh' for a week to honor the famed star.

But it doesn't stop there - North Kansas City took a different approach, reimagining an already-existing road named Swift Street as 'Swift Street (Taylor's Version)', a nod to the artist's ongoing battle to reclaim ownership of her music through re-recording her previous albums.

Undoubtedly, Taylor Swift fans in Santa Clara will be thrilled by the news of 'Swiftie Clara,' marking her third visit to the city following previous concerts at Levi's Stadium for 'The 1989 World Tour' in 2015 and 'The Reputation Stadium Tour' in 2018. According to the Santa Clara Legislature, the city will pay homage to "the positive local impact to the Santa Clara community, as well as the impact regionally, of Taylor Swift’s music, tours, and extraordinary fanbase."
