Antioch Shooting: Man Gunned Down Near High School

A 31-year-old man was fatally shot near Antioch High School. According to a media release from the Antioch Police Department (APD), the incident occurred at around 1807 hours on the 600 block of W. 20th Street. Officers arrived at the scene to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, and although life-saving measures were performed by both the officers and paramedics, the man tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect remains unknown, and authorities are working tirelessly to uncover any necessary information to bring them to justice. Meanwhile, the community is left stunned as they search for answers and attempt to come to terms with this horrifying incident so close to a local high school.
