An elderly man, who reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, crashed into a San Diego house, causing damage and a gas leak, yesterday.
According to OnScene.TV, the accident happened at 8273 Abbots Hill Rd after the driver left a dentist's office.
This event resulted in only minor injuries for the driver. Firefighters managed to rescue the man, who was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
The impact of the crash caused damage to the house's gas line, resulting in a leak that posed a significant risk to the residents and the surrounding neighborhood.
It took the concerted efforts of San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) Crews to secure the gas line, averting a potentially disastrous situation.
