The streets of Albany are about to experience a heightened level of vigilance on Thursday, as the Berkeley Police Department (BPD) and Albany Police Department (APD) collaborate in a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Grant-supported operation. Focused on Primary Collision Factors (PCF) and a variety of community-raised traffic concerns, this initiative aims to ensure safer roads for all.
They will be addressing concerns such as unsafe speed, stop sign violations, entering the roadway when unsafe, unsafe turning, distracted driving, and blocking an intersection.
