Missing San Jose Teen's Car Found, Search Continues for Katie Schneider

Over a month has passed since Katie Schneider went missing from her Saratoga home, and as her family's concern grows, an update on her case provides a glimmer of hope – though she remains missing, her white Honda Accord has been found according to KTVU. The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, still diligently working to locate the 17-year-old, could not offer details about the discovery due to the ongoing investigation.

Marking the one-month anniversary of Katie’s disappearance, her mother, Nola Schneider, shared a photo of her daughter on Instagram, stating that they wish to honor law enforcement's efforts to find Katie and protect the shy, introverted child's privacy. The family has been working closely with authorities since her disappearance.

Last seen on July 5, Katie left her house driving the Honda Accord without a phone or any electronic devices per a Hoodline article. Surveillance video captured her car near Castle Rock on Skyline Boulevard in Los Gatos, pulled to the side of the road at 1:34 PM, with an individual resembling Katie getting out of the driver's side and briefly disappearing from view before getting back into the car and driving in the same direction.

Authorities are urging the public to help with the search for the missing teen, who is described as 5-feet, 5-inches tall, with straight blonde hair, and weighing around 115 pounds.
