According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, this one-mile illuminated trail, featuring a combination of nature and art, is all set to transform the 37-acre garden into an enchanting, festive, after-dark spectacle for visitors to make everlasting memories.
The renowned holiday light show will display a new lineup of immersive installations and scenes with the focus on merging nature and art. The stunning central pieсe will showcase illuminated California poppies alongside a captivating light tunnel where guests can stroll, sip on seasonal beverages, and savor tasty treats.
Starting in the UK back in 2013, the Lightscape attraction has dazzled people all over the globe in prominent cities like London, Chicago, Melbourne, and New York. In 2022, San Diego Botanic Garden became the seventh botanic garden in the US to participate, choosing Lightscape as part of their plan for a more significant celebration after the COVID-19 pandemic, having previously hosted their own Garden of Lights and Botanic Wonderland events.
This year's exhibit will run from November 17, 2023, through January 1, 2024. Lightscape's return to the San Diego Botanic Garden has generated quite a stir, following sold-out shows in 2022. As reported on the garden's website, visitors are encouraged to sign up for the newsletter and stay in the loop, as 2023 tickets are expected to go live soon.
In association with Sony Music, Lightscape is prepared to establish itself as another cherished San Diego holiday tradition, with over a million twinkling lights that are sure to leave visitors of all ages in awe. This year's Lightscape is eagerly anticipated. Ticket prices start at $29 for adults, $18 for children ages 3-12, and free for ages 2 and under. San Diego Botanic Garden members, as well as active and combat-disabled military personnel with I.D., are also eligible for discounted tickets. Additionally, parking is available at $10 per vehicle, or $20 on the day of the visit. The event entry times are set at every 15 minutes, and guests can purchase tickets online to plan their visit accordingly.
