Intoxicated Man Crushed by Unaware Delivery Truck Driver in San Diego

Early today, a disheartening accident took place in the parking lot of 9750 Distribution Avenue, in the Miramar neighborhood. An intoxicated 28-year-old man, for reasons yet unknown, chose to lay down underneath a parked Chevrolet delivery truck. The driver, a 31-year-old man, was unaware of the individual's presence beneath his vehicle and proceeded to move the truck, unknowingly running over the man, according to Fox5 San Diego.

Sadly, the injuries sustained from this accident proved fatal. Upon realization of the situation, emergency responders were alerted and swiftly transported the injured man to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the victim was ultimately pronounced dead, as Times of San Diego reported.

As the San Diego Police Department's (SDPD) Traffic Division continues to investigate the incident, they have noted the importance of the fact that the victim had been consuming alcohol prior to the accident. The SDPD has not released any further information regarding potential mitigating factors or charges against the driver at this time.
