
A bank robbery suspect was apprehended in Concord on August 25th. The arrest was made possible in part by the joint efforts of officers from the Concord Police Department, Pleasant Hill Police Department, and Contra Costa Community College District Police. As a testament to the effectiveness and dedication of these agencies, the suspect was arrested without incident shortly after their attempted heist.
According to a Facebook post by the Concord Police Department, officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the Bank of America on Sunvalley Blvd. around 11:20 am. The involved law enforcement agencies surrounded the bank as the suspect remained inside. Upon the suspect's exit, the arrest team swooped in and took him into custody without incident.
While the suspect's name was not released, it is evident that the exceptional collaborative efforts of the involved agencies contributed to the successful arrest.
