
On September 26, Ceasefire officers successfully conducted an operation, leading to the arrest of 12 individuals on weapons violation charges.
According to the Oakland Police Department, during their surveillance in West Oakland, officers observed several individuals armed with numerous firearms. As the suspects proceeded to the 1000 block of West Grand Avenue, Ceasefire officers detained 15 people – resulting in the arrests of nine adults and one juvenile. Furthermore, 12 firearms were recovered as part of the operation.

Following these apprehensions, the Alameda County District Attorney's Office took action, filing charges against the nine accused adults. Meanwhile, charges against the apprehended juvenile are still pending.
Moreover, the Oakland Police Department, as a whole, has displayed a persistent commitment to community safety in the city. In another notable incident, the OPD arrested three individuals connected to violent crimes, dismantling an illegal casino operation earlier this year, as per the City of Oakland.
