On Tuesday, a harrowing armed robbery took place on Estates Drive in Piedmont, around 11:40 am, affecting some construction workers. According to the Piedmont Police Department's Facebook post, two suspects driving a white Lexus IS 350 with tinted windows backed into a driveway; one emerged from the vehicle brandishing a handgun.
The construction workers on the site found themselves suddenly targeted for their tools and were coerced to surrender their equipment, though they emerged from the ordeal thankfully unharmed. The suspects subsequently fled in the white Lexus, and the investigation is ongoing, with the police department urging anyone with relevant information to contact Detective John Lagios at (510) 420-3015.
